Sporting Events

Every spring, in mid-May, Vélotour des Pays-d'en-Haut is the first cycle event of the season.  For more than 20 years, the profits of the event are poured to the Foundation of Cegep André-Laurendeau - Section children of Nepal and distributed over there to help organization dedicated to the well-being of the children (schools, orphanages, etc.). For the last years, several thousand dollars were distributed.  More details on the registration form.

For those for whom nature and cycling go together just fine, Vélo à notre santé provides an ideal opportunity to support the Foundation of the Saint-Jérôme Regional Hospital.  It takes place on the second Sunday in September.

In September, some major mountain-bike competitions (a regional race and the final of the Greater Montreal Regional Circuit) are held on the trails of the Dufresne Regional Park.  The Club de vélo de montagne de Val-David generally provides some of the top performances.
