Sporting Events

The first event of the cycling season the Vélotour des Pays-d’en-Haut takes place every spring towards the end of May. For some years now, the profits from this event have been used for a good cause, as selected by the organizers. In 2007, $3,000 was shared between a school and an orphanage in Nepal. For those for whom nature and cycling go together just fine, Vélo à Notre Santé provides an ideal opportunity to support the Foundation of the Saint-Jérôme Regional Hospital.  It takes place on the second Sunday in September.

For avid rock climbers, Passe-Montagne organizes a Boulder Festival each year.

In September, some major mountain-bike competitions (a regional race and the final of the Greater Montreal Regional Circuit) are held on the trails of the Dufresne Regional Park.  The Club de vélo de montagne de Val-David generally provides some of the top performances.

In October, you can take advantage of the last of the fine weather and participate in Journal Ski-se-Dit’s Rallye Cyclo-Pédestre (by bike and on foot rally).
