Intellectual property rights

The information contained on this site is and remains the property of the Municipality of the Village of Val-David, which retains the intellectual property rights.

The logo of the Municipality and its slogan (Un monde à part) are also protected by intellectual property rights.  In consequence, the logo (partial or total) and the slogan may not be used by whomsoever without written authorization from the Municipality.

Accuracy of information

The Municipality of the Village of Val-David makes every effort to ensure the accuracy of all information published on its website.  However, in spite of every precaution, the website may contain inaccurate information or typographical errors.  The Municipality of the Village of Val-David declines any responsibility with respect to any error of any nature whatsoever, which may occur on its website.

In the case of any difference existing between an official text and information published on the website, the official text takes precedence. The Municipality may modify information concerning the products, services and programs contained on the site, without notice.

Municipal regulations

The Municipality offers no guarantee that any municipal regulations or extracts of such regulations appearing on its site are complete and exact, or that they are updated at all times.  The Municipality assumes no responsibility with respect to any differences that may exist between the official text of a regulation and the version appearing on the website.

Use of photos or other materials

The Municipality of the Village of Val-David respects the copyrights on all photos (generally acquired free of rights) or other materials used and, unless agreement can be reached, will rapidly remove any photo or graphic depiction which may prove litigious or fails to respect agreements signed with the alleged author. Furthermore, the Municipality of the Village of Val-David is not responsible for photos supplied by a third party for the purposes of illustrating that party’s establishment, services or activities.

Hyperlinks

The Municipality of the Village of Val-David chooses the sites towards which it offers a hyperlink and reserves the right to remove them.  These hyperlinks are offered freely and for information purposes only and do not in any wise constitute a measure of support, association or approval on the part of the Municipality of Val-David toward the corporations or organizations which publish these sites.

The Municipality of the Village of Val-David authorizes hyperlinks toward its own site, in the form of a surface link or external link, as long as the content and nature of the site in question brings no discredit on the Municipality and/or its collectivity.  These hyperlinks must not cause any confusion between the site on which the hyperlink appears and the site of the Municipality of the Village of Val-David.

Limited liability

The Municipality of the Village of Val-David declines all responsibility with respect to the validity of information found on any site towards which it provides a link.

Privacy

The Municipality of the Village of Val-David manages the use of personal information in conformity with standards laid down by the Act.  However, the security of information transmitted via the Internet by or to the user cannot be guaranteed.

Electronic messages are treated according to the same privacy measures as ordinary mail.  The information obtained is never transmitted to any third party.

Mailing lists

At all times, a person registered can choose to no longer receive information sent by the Municipality via its mailing lists, and to which the person has subscribed.  Requests must be made in writing.
