Culture - 1001 pots

1001 Pots is held each summer in Val-David in a delightful outdoor setting. It is the largest ceramics exhibition in North America and runs for one month.

For its 19th edition, not only did more than one hundred potters and ceramists prepare a veritable feast for your eyes, but the organizers also invited some of the regions best chefs to come and prepare various dishes and specialities on site, all of which were served on beautiful ceramic platters made for the purpose.  The catering was organized in collaboration with the producers of Val-David’s Marché d’été.

Each year, 1001 Pots includes demonstrations, competitions, introductory courses to the potter’s wheel and other pottery techniques, with workshops for children and a multitude of other activities throughout the month.
